Default Mediastar HDX 9100 and xvid files

Has anyone transcoded .mp4, .mkv and .flv files to xvid successfully for this box?

By successful I mean good picture and sound, no lip sync problems, etc.

What program did you use and with what parameters.

I have access to XP and Linux.

If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?
