what is it ? ride on mower ?
an old Victa commercial from the 80s , self propelled. 160cc.
they had points ignition which could be converted to electronic by addition of a module . dont know what parts support would be available nowadays , they stopped production around 1987 or so , and after that the engines were completely different.
carbies are same as later models though.
You can tell a lot about a man, by the way he knows his mowers

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
what do you recon is the best thing to do with it??
Dump it back where you found it ?
My wife nick named me Victa, to this very day I cant understand why?
I have a mate and everywhere he goes, little Victa follows him
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
I may try and make it go, will a new motor bolt on or are they all different?
It would cut a hell a lot of grass

You could just about bolt any mower engine to the base plate. Just remember that, owing to the larger deck, you'll need a slightly more powerful engine to make it work at its peak. The only issue you may have will be convincing the existing blades and self drive unit to marry up to the driveshaft.
Back in the day, when we (the business) had just started out, I was mowing lawns for a living. I had to adapt many a "non" standard part to do the job. Heck, I even mowed a football oval with a push mower once! (18" deck) Our ride on, back then was a Bolens with a 48" deck and We wore it out in just on twelve months, It broke down for the millionth time (I had rebuilt the deck a dozen times and, in the end, the valve seats started hammering themselves further back into the block!) We replaced it with a Kubota which I picked up from the dealers on Christmas Day! (We had a brilliant, and long, relationship with them over the next 20 odd years). The kubota was only pensioned off after I left the company in 2012). My current mower is cobbled together with a B&S 4HP on a victa deck with slasher blades that I can sharpen. I detest those piddly little bits of sheet metal they call mower blades. Hence; the slashers.
