Default Is this the start of a trully independent electrical system

I had read previously that Telsa were developing a battery system for solar feed which is due to be much more compact than existing batteries, maintenance free, more recycles, quicker recycles and most important cheaper
Well it appears to be happening as the attached alludes to. Tesla have invested in a new super battery manufacturing plant in California with the view of reducing battery costs, which would obviously make their vehicles cheaper. Interesting times!

it is interesting as they are also going to install a quick recharge stations for long trips

The company will put stations between Sydney and Melbourne in 2015, with Goulburn, Canberra and Albury possible candidates for supercharger stops.

One other thing I see us needing to do is start making appliances to run on the lower voltages instead of the current 240V AC system to eliminate the need for an inverter which itself wastes power.
While DC is not suitable for long range transmission of Voltage as used in the Grid system, its more than adequate for a Home Solar system.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

If a man says something in a forest and there is no woman there to hear it, will that which has been said still be wrong?

Some people are like clouds. When they go away its a beautiful day.
