    hey guys,
i have similar problem, although on mine, when i check the voltages on the lnb, they are 14v and 18v (without anythign plugged in)
i also swapped the tunerpart, and the q72 transistor, however i cant get a lock on anything. ive done a reset, and even put original dm500s image, and still nothing. ohh and i also plugged another box on the same lnb/cable/dish and it can lock a signal.

    any suggestions?

    Wink

did you try to supply the lnb from another receiver and put the dm500 thru a power pass splitter, if it was like mine the dm500 worked perfectly as the lnb was being supplied by another receiver hence no load on the dm500.

yeah might give that a go. if that works, then what would be an issue on the dm500 then?

Did you use a single power pass splitter so that the second receiver is the one that powers the lnb through the power pass and the other side of the spliiter to the dm500 has no power thru it and only signal if you have done this and no joy then you have a bigger problem nothing ventured nothing gained

What exactly did you do if you remember? I have the same problem now. No power but will be ok when the lnb is powere by another box in a series.
