Panicked in error - found a REGEDIT fix
I run a 4 Drive Windows 8.1 system
1 x 500Gb SSD
3 x 2TB SATA
I recently changed one of the 2TB SATA for a 3TB SATA
By default the new 3TB registered on the system as Drive I and I want it at Drive D but for some reason Computer Management is taking (for whatever reason) an inordinate amount of time to display the system, it appears stuck on 'Loading disk configuration information.... ' but i'm getting no error messages yet.
Is there another way of changing drive letters other than Computer Management - regedit or similar??
cheers
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

you can also change it in disk management
Disk Management - Computer management = same thing, but thanks. All fixed now
