Wanted : A giveaway prize

Well I reckon its time we got a giveaway happening, but we need a company or business to contribute a prize.

If you would like to see your business name as the prize donator on the tens of thousands of emails that will be sent out, let us know. Items that have had an excellent result are in car cameras and TV Streaming boxes.

Even if your company doesn't sell these type of items, you could donate a set amount of money for us to purchase a giveaway item.....we will then mention you as the prize contributor in the emails and prize thread just as we would a company supplying a prize.

Anyway, we are negotiable as always, so let us know if you are interested.

I'm prepared to donate a $100 BP fuel card, but i'm not interested in promoting my business as i'm a sole trader running my small mechanical workshop that keeps me very busy, now to not sound negative but we really dont need over night whims put their hands up for prizes, as ive noticed with this board its only a handful of us actually making attempts to make threads and reply to posts which is disheartening! would be good to offer prizes say over 2-3 week period, where members actually post threads that are exciting and fun as well as informative where everyone feels they need to contribute, thats my rant, and the offer is there

I think, Rick that the idea is to, hopefully, convince some of the lurkers to become active members. I was lucky enough to win the last giveaway and I'd consider myself a "regular" member so it means there is just as much chance for you to win it as any lurker.

Sadly that hasnt appeared to work which is a shame, the trouble with this world today nearly everyone wants something for free but arnt prepared to put a little effort in and offer something in return

Yes, that was my point which I didn't really want to rehash after going over it at least 30,000 times in previous threads. Premium Members have double the chance, other than that everyone has an excellent chance of winning. I am not interested in forcing people to post (it just ends in garbage all over the board), its all just a bit of fun that keeps occasional visitors coming back and a bit of fun for everyone else.

Welcome to Austech.

We would certainly be interested in your offer, but as we do not know you or your business and you are located outside Australia, you would be required to send the giveaway prize to me before the competition and I would send it on to the winner.

In circumstances like this, we require "prepayment" as we cannot afford to mass email all our members and mention a business or company in the email, and they then don't fulfill their part of the agreement. I am sure you understand that with so many scammers on the internet these days that we must take precautions and its nothing personal.

Certainly those items look interesting, as do some others. There has been a bit of interest on that site in drone/quadcopters as well.

I would commend Admin's request to you, Lindell. I joined this forum a couple of years ago and have found Admin to be quite reasonable and above board in his dealings with all members.
