Thank you but I am afraid that is beyond this old brain. I currently run it on a WIN 7 Laptop and it installed and ran okay then after I had done so many searches it said It could not run no more without being registered which of course I can't because it is so old. It doesn't install as a Windows program as such, I mean it is not under the programs to uninstall on windows. It just creates a folder call Digger in the root directory of C Drive and places some files there, if I deleted the folder and reinstall the program and doesn't fix it so I assume something must be stored somewhere else. I searched the Registery for "digger" but found nothing and that was the extent of my knowledge.

Yeah, it's one of those things with old software -- without a copy of it, it's like sorting out a jigsaw puzzle....online... with no idea what the jigsaw is an image of =)

Possibly you should search the registry for 'macbeth' as well.

Also (going by their website) you can download the latest executable that can be used with old CD roms....but then you'd still need to register.

Seems registration number coded .... which makes it seem polemical that a registry change would help any.

As before, if someone hoists an iso image, I can poke at it and see what it's up to.

try installing it onto a seperate drive like a usb and then drag and burn it to a cd or dvd then uninstall and format the usb and now it has no place to update the times used and it may or may not run now if it does should be forever from the disc - worth a try just don't use it of the usb because it can update
you may need to wind your clock back to when you first installed it and delete the original folder on your pc
