    Default NSS-6 at 95.0 degrees E

    Gentlemen and the occasional Lady,

I have it booming in with BER's of zero on a Toroidal T90 in Sydney.

I can only find five services on:

    11106H 2800

    12714H 5000

    12736V 3333

Does any one know of other TP's for Australia?

    Regards,

Phillip, funny dish to be using on NSS6:-)

What other sats have you set it up for?

One down the road I've set for D2, C1, D1, IS8, IS2, I701. Naturally, will not span much beyond that.....

    Regards,
I, like many others, lost interest when we lost our LEGIT subscriber channels on that Sat.
I understand that the bully boys here leant on our Government to threaten to withdraw assistance to their Goverment because they were losing too many clients.
Now we have two tame porn # on Optus C3.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

Nss6 used to be the XXX PORN sat.
Then they shut down, now we watch pot plants or lamps on Adults only.

Long story, but short version is this:

NSS6 once had some interesting content FTA, and also a couple of porn channels that required subscription and were encrypted. The company that was offering this subscription was allowing Australian subscribers and everyone was happy. That is, until some snivel libertarian type people dobbed in the company to our government and in turn the channels were withdrawn from the beam that covered Australia.

Since then nobody has any interest in NSS-6 and what you have already found on the bird is all you are going to get. Best to go searching elsewhere on other birds for more entertaining TV.

this is so funny... in a country where brothels are legal (the morallity kills me -not that many countries have them as legal - quite the opposite they are pretty rare...) they ban porn from satellites beams...

    Jippy,

    Thank you.

I realise they are on Measat 2, but a press release dated 17th June stated they will be commencing services on NSS6, hence my question.

Phillip I've been using 12647 V 30000 as posted on vetruns and I have 20 tv channels. The Hollywood channel had two English movies on yesterday afternoon.

    SPLog,

    Thank you.

I am intrigued that you have logged 20x TV services. My Dreambox and a Humax 5400 both log 20x TV services on NSS6 12647V 30000 3/4, but with only MAC-TV bearing a video PID.

Hence the other 19x services, whilst tagged TV (and with no VPID), I assumed were radio.

Are the other 19x TV services MPEG4?

    What Rx are you using?

    Kind regards,

I just became stuck myself, I'm watching via PCI AzureWave (twinhan) 1034 card on my computer no problems. Just tried to load the same channels onto my powtek decoder and no go.

Only have the default software atm and tsreader doesn't like the new PCI card

    TV13 (Hollywood)
    Vpid 411
    Apid 412
    Video:720x480i 4:3 (H.264) Audio:MPEG

    P (MAC-TV)
    Vpid 391
    Apid 392
    video:544x480i 4:3 Audio:MPEG

    SPLog,

    Thanks........you have answered the question "TV13 Hollywood" - Video: H.264 ~ MPEG4.

Hence my quoted 2x Rx do not disply pix, only audio, they are not MPEG4 enabled on video O/P.

My guess is the other 18x services are similar, I now have more work to do for these services.

    Where are you in Queensland?

Thanks for your prompt reply and kind regards,

I managed to get my older PCI card (twinhan 1030) to work for a short while with tsreader and it confirmed they are all H.264 except MAC TV. So you would need a computer PCI card or maybe one of those OCTAGON HD's decoders.
I wonder how long they will test before encrypting.
