I went for the Syma X8C
Not because of the price, I feel the specs offer more and as it would (if I was to actually win it) be my first quad, it looks more controllable
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

now that's funny. Especially since I see people using regular ones on their dogs a lot on the metro.

I have one of the early x5 models and they are extremely durable and resistant to most crashes.
With the prop guards they tend to survive quite well ...... well I haven't kill a prop yet
the pics aren't bad either and are really funny when trying learn to fly them

A really light unit with a reasonable range only downfall is the usual battery life, about 15 mins max so would be good if you could get another battery

other than that a really easy unit to learn to fly and my young fella at 11yrs is quite good at flying without crashing

all in all even if you don't win one they are great value

sorry to highjack but a personal experience here
