Not sure what's happening with wizkid. I tried to download 170p and it just did nothing. Could be my browser.

all good, it was noscript blocking the download.

Default Strong SRT4922B and SRT4653X patch available?

Just wondering if there has been a firmware patch for SRT4922B and SRT4653X receivers?

Curiosity might get the better of me to have a look and see what can be received..
There is a couple of ethnic services on IS19C that my wife might like....Good practice for me too as I'm learning the common language from her country.
I believe that a couple of services on IS19C use BISS (TVNZ 4146 for one) from time to time, I think I know how to enter BISS codes on the Strong receivers...

I have no interest in looking at Foxtel so couldn't care about them.

As this thread is about PowerVu, it's reasonable to assume that you are asking about suitable PV software for a SRT4922B, but you mention Biss, so I might be mistaken .

Anyway, there is suitable PV software for the 4922 HD and 4922A HD, but I haven't come across any for the B version.

I probably didn't make my question completely clear, apologies for that.

I am looking for PV software for the 4922B, not sure what the differences are between the 4922/A and 4922B are, or whether the software would be compatible between the different variants of the 4922.

Not sure if there is PV software that would work on the 4653X either, I have one of those units also.

    The BISS bit is unrelated.

4653x is too old now. There was some hacked firmware for the 4922B from memory. Don't know what the differences are and if firmware is interchangeable but on the Strong website they have different firmware for each so I'm guessing not.

Would anyone be able to tell me the sharing provider or at least point me in the right direction for the IS19 channels? PM me if you like. I do a search for c___ sharing and it mainly comes up with European ones for European birds which is no good for here. ta.

I know. I found a youtube vid which shows a site where you get a cline and put it into a cfg file, save onto usb and stick into the receiver.
However, I'm still trying to work out how to set-up my Strong - one guy talks about connecting an ethernet cable from the receiver to the modem, another about STB Daemon??? Learning curve is steep.

I get it, look at Sat Universe. Trying to sort through all the posts on that site is tiring. Ok.

    Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Over the years, many people have invested hundreds of hours researching such things - even on foreign-language forums with the aid of appropriate dictionaries to help with translation. Hard-won knowledge is rarely handed out on a plate.

Besides, there's much satisfaction to be gained in carrying out one's own research by reading the various threads. It adds to one's knowledge.
Research (mental exercise) is good for the brain.

There's a wealth of valuable knowledge at Sat Universe...and they have a SEARCH button to make things a little easier.
