    Unfortunately its in California
    But a great idea
They use the profits from their carbon tax (ETS) to fund the projects

While we continue to have "coal fired politicians" it will never happen in Aus unfortunately.
If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

Its a bit ironic in the US the land of free enterprise we have a carbon tax buying poor people solar panels ands in Australia under Direct Action poor people are buying free solar panels for rich polluters.
Those 3 word slogans are always tricky, the devil is in the detail.

Just a bit of a friendly warning.

In 2012 you posted leftist crap everywhere on Austech and received numerous warnings.
You wont be doing it again. On topic in general chat, yes, all over the board, no.

Pretty sure California had a right wing governor when they introduced this
So it isnt really a left right thing just a different policy response to a similar problem.
Even John Howard went to an election with an pro ETS platform.

I think its pretty cool use of funds.
    Dont you?

Not if you on certain Pensions as any 'PayBack' is regarded as an Income and the Pension is adjusted accordingly.
Those in Victoria could possibly benefit because I believe you have a choice of how the Solar energy is metered (IE Reverseable meter) but in NSW, as far as I am aware we must have one to measure usage and one to measure power generated.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
