I just done a clean install of Win 10.
I upgraded first.
Then formatted the HD and used the same dvd to do the install.
Skipped all screens that asked for a product key.
Viola! ... Windows 10 installed and activated.
Apparently after you do your upgrade all your info is stored on a Microsoft Activation Server - so if your hardware matches, the install will be allowed, no need to enter a key.
Keyfinders only report a generic product key, not your actual Windows 10 key.

Hi all,
Just a quick heads up regarding Win10 Language version.
When you download your ISO you will notice there is no English (Australian) version.
Probably won't matter to the Yanks or Poms but if you intend to use any speech progs you may well run into probs.
Apart from the spelling checkers and database progs that will throw hissy fits every time you try to use them.

Are you referring to the install language? This is just the guide language
That should make no difference to the windows languages available during the actual install or are you saying these iso's don't have an english aust. option
The ISO language choice.
As you will discover when you develop databases or natural speaking apps and such like, the OS must match the app language, or you end up with a shit fight when translating and compiling into stand alone progs.
My guess for all the members here that have already completed their install, they probably had English (UK or American) as their base OS language.
My understanding is that anyone with English Australian as default will have to wait a few days weeks before the auto install completes.
I'm probably wrong but I think not.
Luv and kisses

Fixing as I type.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
I think that details from your BIOS or details you entered - Date Time, Language preference or some such are the details you are seeing in control panel.
The 64Bit ISO itself is UK or USA English.
I will wait until I see the English (Australian) version appear in the ISO choice, or, until MS completes the download of Australian version of Win10 automagically.
If you do a search on the web for Win 10 English (Australian) you will find many developers seem to agree with me.
Cheers, Hic

I chose English (Australia) from the dropdown box during install.
We should probably have a dedicated Windows 10 thread if anyone wants to start one (come on, someone bar me can do it ). No doubt there will be questions galore.
