Default Wireless camera to monitor trafic 300m away.

How do I go to install a camera where its location is 300 m from the DVR.
Impossible to run cable, but there is a power source at the camera site.
A few tree branches in between, but I can say line of site.
There is no option using PC, IP or WIFI etc. here.

What camera & wireless TX, Rx would you suggest for this project.
    All advice much appreciated.

I've used a few products from Austral Suveillance with directional antennas that worked over a similar distance.

Ideally a hybrid NVR, IP camera with some Ubiquiti NanoBridge units and things get a whole lot better. You can still run your other Analogue cams on the machine.

Care to elaborate? If there is power at the camera site, what's the problem with a WiFi point-to-point link?

    How I'd tackle it...

Analogue Camera --> Single channel encoder --> WiFi Link <300m Distance> WiFi Link --> Single channel decoder --> DVR

I agree with going IP if you have a recorder capable of recording IP feeds but in case you don't...

Take a look on eBay for "wireless video sender". These devices, which ordinarily are used for sending AV signals from your DVD player or set top box to another room in your house would be more than ample for what you are trying to do. and they range in price around the $50 mark and up for a half way decent one. When picking one I would recommend you get one that operates in the 2.4GHz range and try to make sure the units are positioned line of sight, so say at Windows facing each other or mount the antenna outside with SMA extensions. The unit at has a line of sight range of up to 1000m as an example. Find one priced well with the range and features you want and go for it.
