Gordon, have you done all that was mentioned in the link WhiteOx posted ?

Including step 5, resetting your browser settings ?

Looked into, under, between and behind and I cannot find any reference to DNSunlocker, but its still there.
I dont seem to have I.E now, just Google, Firefox and Edge?
I cannot find any way to reset firefox no matter where I look to do so.

When I post this, what ever is doing this is selecting and highlighting specific words in the text, this has happened before but I cant remember what eventually got rid of it.

Its realistically a bit like social behaviour, if you bang hookers and pick up dirty pub sluts without a condom, you will end up catching something. The same applies on the internet, not just in regards to porn sites, but illegal downloads, torrents, warez etc etc.
Totally agree. Most times it's happening if one is participating in a bit torrent program or some other unlawful exchange of copyrighted music, movies, or software.

When acquiring any software (programs, utilities, games, updates, demos, etc.) via the Internet, one should make sure he/she is downloading it from a reliable source. One always should run a download through antivirus and spyware scanners upon completion. Not to forget, during the installation process, always carefully read all prompts about what the program is putting on the computer.

Also one should know, that antivirus and spyware and adware scanners never are actual, they at least always are some days behind. So you can't blindly trust them.

With regards to adware blockers, also these today are not "useful" at all, because more and more companies who offer sites that load unwanted software (PUPs / PUAs) to your computer use hard-coded IP addresses (ie. 73.121.249.154) instead of URLs (ie yahoo.com): you see this in your preferred browser when "Read 73.121.249.154" is shown instead of "Read yahoo.com". And even these hard-coded IP addresses often are changing on a daily base - as I've noticed.

Windows 10 by default comes with both IE 11 and Edge pre-installed. Edge is the default browser in Windows 10. You can disable the one or the other, but unfortunately you can't uninstall none of them. How to open IE in Windows 10 is described .

Hi Gordon, in Firefox on the right hand side at the top you'll see three horizontal lines, click on it. A box will open with some options, look for the ? mark at the bottom and click on it. Then click on Troubleshooting Information. On the Troubleshooting page you'll see Give Firefox a tune up and a tab below it called Refresh Firefox click on it and a small box will popup click Refresh Firefox.

Then it's finished restart Firefox and load up Austech and see what happens.

The program I am looking at that MAY be the problem is VLC because it seems I missed removing some of the installing options like search engines/ default Home Page etc and I got hit with them a couple of weeks back.
Even further back was when I downloaded a video file from a member using Media Files I think it was and it was loaded with adware but I thought I had managed to remove all of its rubbish.

Geeez, why dont they hide this somewhere easier like in the BIOS or the CPU program ??
I would NEVER had thought to look there and would not have wanted to try it without knowing what might happen.

That 'Refresh' seems to have done the trick, no page 'bouncing', no blue circle with an up arrow on key words in the Main forum and hopefully, no highlights when I post this.

Many Many thanks to Mickstv and others for all your help.

Gordon, just remember this only fixes Firefox.

If your having issues with Chrome, all you have to do is type the line in bold below into the address bar and hit enter.

    chrome://extensions/

Then look down the list for DNSUnlocker if found untick it then delete using the trash can next to it.

I don't have windows 10 so can't help you with the Edge Browser.

The Edge browser is real easy, just don't use it it's crap.

Hearing you gordon, my macbook has been fine, then all of a sudden.... this.
It even locked up Chrome, made it no longer function.

Looks like i better take the advice of mickstv here
Malwarebytes didn't find a single thing!

EDIT: Followed mickstv advice, DNS Unlocker is Not found when following the "chrome://extensions/" process.

Looks like i better find a different way

I have just put a post in Windows 10 discussion forum that I think the WIN10 upgrade ate my Kaspersky Virus program.
So whether this has anything to do with my recent Malware problem I dont know but being a 'Bottom end Computer User', when things like this happen I am at a loss most times to work out what to do about it hence the Kaspersky program and now to find it MAY have in some way been 'removed' really annoys me.

That's what Kasperky Lab web site tells:
July 29 is Windows 10’s official launch. Many users of Windows are probably looking to upgrade their operating system to Microsoft’s latest and greatest. If you are one of those users and you use Kaspersky Lab products, what should you do? The best option for Kaspersky Lab users is to download the latest version of their choice of Kaspersky Lab product, which supports new Microsoft OS, before installing Windows 10.

Even if you’re already using Kaspersky Lab 2015 product, you should download the latest release from Kaspersky Lab site, just to be completely sure your security solution is totally compatible with Windows 10.
If during upgrading to Windows 10 an incompatible software gets detected, it gets removed, no ifs and buts.
