    Default Windows Security Pop Up

Since I've re-loaded W10 on my machine I am now attempting to re-establish my MS Outlook (2010) accounts and I keep getting a popup with "Windows Security" in the Title bar followed by "Microsoft Outlook connecting to wl........@hotmail.com" asking for my password. Regardless of if I elect to remember my credentials or not, after entering my password and clicking <ok> it keeps popping up. Yes I have the Outlook Connector for Hotmail installed and it has not occurred on my ISP (POP3) account. It worked fine when I had upgraded from W7 except for my Gmail issues (the subject of another thread - and an Office 2010 issue apparently). Now the bloody Hotmail connector is doing the same as the Windows Security Pop UP! Aaaarrrrrgh!

I may just abandon Outlook all together, which is a pain, because I was hoping to link it to my mobile as I had done in the past.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    If I remember correctly @hotmail.com was replaced by @live.com & or @outlook.com since 2010.
This may be the issue with the installation.
    Cheers, Tiny

Hotmail still works fine on Office 2007, I can't speak for 2010, but you don't need Outlook Connector any more, even with Win7, I can't access my PC at the moment but I can have a look in the morning to check my setup, it involved making changes to the Hotmail account settings itself.

EDIT: Check out this link, you can still use connector but I used to have problems with it.

outlook.com, hotmail.com & live.com are exactly the same to set up

Seems to have fixed itself. I tried installing Hotmail without the connector and Outlook threw a hissy fit and sent me off to Mickeysoft for the connector. Anyway, hotmail is back on deck, but, if I choose to upgrade to office 2013, I might be able to get gmail back. It's either that, or return to 2007.

2010 is the problem Phil. For some reason 2010 broke gmail both imap and pop3. Seems to be a common problem.
