Did not realize that, just took a look, haha funny the way itd setup. Being geoblocked to NZ it coughs up the stream source url as an error message! too easy.

The racing stream is running off the same server ;-) just editing my small bat file and adding it!

It gets better, I did some snooping and noticed a few missing numbers and tried something and the result revealed 7 is also on the same server in 1080p @ around 3 mbits bitrate

No , they are going for it, all channel to be online and there is no regional restrictions on who can access, you can watch 7 Sydney or 7 Perth they don't care.

I hope the channel 9 streams are just as easy to access

Typically I knew what I meant but as usual didnt say it so it was clear.
When I said I wondered why the SEVEN network didnt push to have it carried on VAST, I knew as such they arent concerned as thats not 'Their Market' but by the same token, the more that can see the channel the better it is for SEVEN if they have a financial interest in Racing.Com.

The same applies to the addition of these coming other channels to both Terrestrial Regional and VAST viewers may not happen unless it can gain revenue.

We can now see a hiccup has occurred regarding the programs seen in the Metro areas being seen by Regional and VAST viewers didnt say ALL programs/channels available to Metro viewers had to be seen but then, neither does it say the Broadcasters can pick and choose what to show either.

Although racing.com is on 522 Foxtel (basic pack) I was hoping that it might be available on VAST in the superior quality you see on CH78/68(country) as I have just been approved for VAST
The pic is definitely a bit sharper on CH78 (when I can get reception) - I am guessing, due to it being MPEG4 with HE-AAC audio. Could the fact that 78 uses these different systems cause telecasting problems for VAST?
I am hardly tech savvy but I know that these differences have caused me heaps of trouble.
Some TVs or recorders not being able to pick it up and major difficulties getting my Audio loop to work with all but a small portable's headphone socket (being deaf I love my hearing loop around the lounge)

Not sure what you mean by '(when I can get reception)' Racing.com is no different tuning to any of the other VAST channels as they are nearly all MPEG4.

If you have a reception issue, it's most likely LNB skew or dish alignment (in that order).

Sorry for the confusion mtv - I meant 'when I can get reception on digital' as I do not have my VAST set up yet and from reading this thread I am thinking Ch78 is not available on VAST except in WA

Neither Racing Dot Com nor the new SBS Food Channel (LCN33 Terrestrial Digital) is available on Vast EAST as yet (if ever)
