    Default sync outlook on 2 pcs

    does anyone have outlook synced over 2 pc's on the lan?
    there is $ programs but i thought maybe just have the outlook data file shared might work?

    if your mail server lets you use imap then yes , my mail server allows me to
    and i have all my pc's - phone etc auto sync my outlook email
    dont say linux if i wanted it id install it

    yes bigpond only uses imap on new accounts
    old ones are stuck on pop3
    what a joke
    what about if i share the file between 2 computers

    works fine, just tick 'leave a copy of new mail on the server'

    Yeah, but that doesn't sync your mail activities between two computers. Your inboxes can look the same,.. But unless you CC yourself on anything you send, your sent items are different.

    I have another option. Log in to your bigpond webmail via your browser. Then the amount of computers you can use is unlimited!

    Create an account on a system that provides imap access and allows you to configure other services, e.g. Pull from a pop account. Gmail does it.

    no, he wants to use his bigpond account
    no old bigpond accounts cant use imap
    hoe was right, just leave message on server, that works
