Default pioneer car cd deh 2750ui

I have had the radio/ cd player and all was fine until today i noticed no sound all seems to be working including cd (with audio bar moving up and down visually)

I have tried resetting in menu
checked that all 4 speakers are working
checked for earth, constant pos + and ignition pos +
checked output from unit when running and there is no sound
I even went to where I brought it ( thinking the unit was stuffed) and they plugged a new one in and it was the same playing a CD NO SOUND ( that was all I tried)

It would be very very unlikely for both to be faulty, there must be something in the settings I am missing

    Any ideas

    Hi h8f

Sounds like a short to ground on a speaker to me as that would put the unit into protect. Check the rear speakers. What is the car make and model ???

thanks mate I will check that out, that would make sense why the new one did the same thing, there are no error codes showing, If I dont find anything I will test it out of the car today. The car is an 1969 xw falcon i brought and the 4 speakers were allready installed.

    cheers thomo

Great call mate, speaker wire had been crushed going out to the boot under the back seat, all good now.

    Thanks again Thomo
