    Default Shower Heads

Can someone please tell me what the maximum flow rate is for shower heads?
I want to buy a new shower head but want something with a bit of pressure behind it, I hate those water saving heads and would prefer something that lets out more than a trickle.

A lot of them have a removable plastic restrictor to convert a trickle shower head to Niagra Falls

Thank's mate, I've already done that but didn't want to butcher up the new one.
Just wanted to know the max flow rate and if that's not good enough I'll remove the restrictor.

Should be on the packaging somewhere. Each one would most likely be around 9l/m. might help you.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Just remember that will also increase the water flow which will increase your water bill.
Years ago we had a chart showing how much water was used depending on the size of a hole in a pipe going from a pin hole up and the volume was surprising and with most places charging for water usage, it could turn out to be expensive.
Also the greater flow may also affect the power bill because it needs to work harder to heat the larger volume of water passing through.

You cant bleedin' win, can you?

I had a customer not long ago,no hot water in the shower. The Plumber installed a "water saving shower head" and the pressure was to low to switch on the electric Inst.HWS.Had to remove the restrictor, all fine now. After all,it's up to us how much water we use.I'm not allowed to remove the restrictor in the kitchen sink.I'm sick of waiting to fill my kettle in the morning.I want 1.8 ltr of water now,not takeing almost 1 minute, lol

No one disagrees with that but my comment was to make the OP aware that his costs could go up by changing the flow rate and like other items such as Power and Gas, the rates vary considerably depending on the supplier.

I'm all for saving energy, water etc but there's no way SWMBO would allow such a device in our bathroom lest it take her a day to wash her hair. Suits me. Deluge shower = in and out. Turn it down to save water.

My current shower head is a Hand Held one that cost around $50 from Bunnings a couple of years ago.
