I'd do a clean install myself. Just copy the files you need to another HDD or a CD before you do it.

Well I thjought everything was rosy With my newly repaired Windows xp home but now when I try to grab all the latest updates they fail and on M$ website all of these updates will come up on the update search. You click download, the install button displays but then they display as 0kbs then fail again when I click install. Any ideas anyone?

ok rang m$ and they sent me 2 batch files
    WinUPSecure.bat
    and
    Autoupdate.bat
    Problem now fixed!
If anyone has the same errors just google the files.. there easy to find

    ps. run WinUPSecure.bat
    and then run Autoupdate.bat
