    Default Bosch house alarm help

    Hi guys,
I just moved into a new house I bought which has Bosch house alarm system, need help using it.
Its main system was powered off when we moved in.
I have asked the owner and he says he never used it after it was installed. The house is 2 year old newly built.
I asked the owner is he has pin number and he says he don't have one since he never turned it on.
The main system is in garage powered off.
    this is the pic:

When i turn the power to the system in the key pad i see like in the pic.

I did turn it on and press the away button in the keypad, after 5-10 seconds i get house siren loud. Then i turned off the main system in garage since.
Can you guys please assist how to use this alarm system.
    thanks
    Ram

You may have caused yourself extra problems by arming it with the "away" button. Two scenarios - 1) code has been left at factory default. If this is the case you can arm it and disarm it by pressing 2580away. If this works AND it has been left as the master code then you will be able to change the code to whatever you want with the aid of the user manual which is available from the Bosch website.
    2) If a (unknown) user code has been programmed and because you have already turned it on using the away button then (unless it has been changed - unlikely) every time you power it up it will be armed and you have no code to disarm it. It will need to be defaulted and reprogrammed.

Also, it looks like your keypad was mounted sideways.

I will try ur option 1 first .
Do u happen to know what model this system is so that i can get the right manual from bosch website.

How much does it cost to default and reset pin if unknown pin number has been set .
    Thanks

I did the option 1 ,used code 2580 away ,nothing happens .
But when i press 1234 away ,there is flashing icon telling to get out,
But again i press 1235 stay nothing change ,
Do u think 1234 is the default pin in my alarm ?

looks like they have left the installer code at factory setting (1234). If they are the only buttons you have pushed then no harm done. But what you have done is enter the programming mode and if that icon is still flashing you need to enter 960away to exit the programming mode. However now that you know the programming code we could talk you through simple programming changes.

Thats the receiver. That is used for remotes as well as wireless detectors if you have them. Your codepad says 6 zones but I cant see if they are all hardwired in your panel photo. Is it a single storey house? Hop on the Bosch website and get a copy of the solution 880 user book

Default How to set a new PIN when previous code is unknown for Bosch alarm system

    Hello everyone,

I have just moved into a new house that we bought, which has Bosch house alarm system, and I am looking to setup a new PIN.

Its main system is powered ON.
The owner did not provide the old PIN, and probably never used it previously.
The house is approx 3 years old.

Can someone help how to set a new PIN in.

    Regards,

    amandeeps,

Given you've started an identical thread to your post, there's no point reviving this old one.
