UBER for NSW.

My only issue with Uber is that they didn't go through the correct and proper process to start the business - they simply started up illegally and then expect a licence to be granted after they have established themselves. I agree that the taxi industry needs a 'rocket' but shouldn't we try to fix something rather than just submitting to pressure from these companies. And all the BS about competition making the industry cheaper and better, that worked well with electricity prices. It's about time that governments in this country actually tackled the problems and fix ed them up rather than just rolling over and taking the easy way out. It puts another slant on a disposable society - it doesn't work so we just get another one.

To me here in NSW the State Government has basically thrown the Taxi industry to the Lions after vigorously enforcing a revamp of the industry which it was in need of at the time and now any one with a set of wheels can now set up as a Taxi with a few piddling exceptions such as they (UBER) cant use designated Taxi ranks, BIG DEAL.......

I am not opposed to UBER but I do feel those who are involved in the Taxi industry have been badly treated.
