Looks like its 2.4GHz, what kind of receiver is in the boat ? is its integrated to the ESC ?
If it has a separate receiver and ESC then it should not be to hard to convert it to a 2.4GHz 4CH stick radio.
you guys just luv me doing tech stuff hey
normally i use a stick rc controller with extended sticks to move forward, back ect
this new boat only has a pistol grip job & i foolishly give away my last controller with the car
so i need idea to best mod this thing to use without moving fingers, any ideas

Another option is to pull the wheel transmitter apart and build it into a stick transmitter.
i was just gunna glue a chop stick to it

that's it phil, just glue a long lever to it
you might have to clamp of the body of the receiver so you can use the long lever
the throttle will be the trickiest to do
maybe you'll need to take it apart for the trigger to be removed
hot glue gun might be good to glue a lever onto it
ive got the same type of cheap boat , they work ok except you dont always get warning that the battery pack is about to go flat. sometimes the boat slows down allowing you to bring it in at other times it just stops , no warning.
last time it stopped i had to swim out to recover it.
that shops so dear on postage
yea its just the throttle
thats why the stick controllers are easier
as you see here
i can insert a rod for steering in my hand strap
