Just unfortunate that the Aussies had to leave Australia and go over seas to develop their ideas, no wonder Australia is a technology desert
Just watched a thought provoking episode of Foreign Correspondent.
A cross over from Climate Change into Renewable Energy and all things in between.
It was a bit warm and fuzzy on the side of the renewables, but no doubt its where we all headed eventually.
Thought some here my like to watch it or comment.
Some amazing projects happening around the world, and quite a few Aussies involved.
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"
That has been the problem for many years, allover. Unfortunately, governments and businesses alike, have little foresight to develop some very bright ideas.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Or perhaps they do, by letting "other" countries spend all the tax payers money of R&D, Grants, Subsidies to produce a good product.
Then we will come in and take the cream once all the hard work is done.
Who knows how they quantify it, but it looks like some big chances are coming.

Want to save energy and resources - Then make some quality stuff that lasts. Geez I must be a bloody genius.
While this earth is based solely and holey on greed, It makes no difference what our idiot governments talk about.
Wonder how much resources and energy is wasted hosting these wankfests for the natural born enemies of the rock
lobster.
Nope not the current Government.
They will continue to spend 10 billion on subsidies each year (lost tax payer's money) to continue to push the coal industry until we have so much debt that there will be nothing left for a local renewable industry, while elsewhere they will be harvesting big profits soon.
Just read that Turnbull is definately not one of the 40 world leaders who will stop subsidising fossil fuel.
I mentioned somewhere before that Australia is sitting on vast amounts of lithium ores that would be high in demand for storage of renewable energy but nothing is happening here. By the time they might notice it, it will take then probably another ten years from exploration to delivery of the required amounts or even locally produced batteries and by then we will have missed the boat.
