Default difference between stereo bluetooth and standard bluetooth

    Hi all,

i've recently bought a Sony Ericsson W760i which has stereo blutooth. I also bought a set of motorola S9 bluetooth headset so i can go running and put the phone in my pocket. i can listen to music without the annoyances of having wires hanging from my ears to my mp3 player.

From what i was told, the headset i bought would only work on a device which supports stereo bluetooth and if i try and connect the headset to a phone which only has standard bluetooth, it wont work.

Can anybody clarify this for me.

    Thanks

Im pretty sure it would work, it might just be Mono, or a single channel.
Unless it uses some new kind of version of bluetooth.
