Does it have a removable sd card?....maybe your photos are on that...adapters to fit a standard computer sd slot are cheap.

Try connecting to computer with kies and see if it reads it, maybe the screen is stuffed.

On the contrary, I had an S3 my computer wouldn't 'see' until I connected via Kies, which installs drivers.... worth a try, nothing to lose, only gain if it works.

take the battery out and check the terminals are clean on the battery and the phone, maybe its a bad connection and wont charge or turn on.
OR find another s2 and pinch the battery download all ya photos off then up grade phone.

THEN set up your googlr account to SYNC photos next time or install an sdcard and set everything to save there.

unless the power button is dodgy, has it been difficult to turn on recently???? maybe plug charger in after cleaning battery terminals and pray for a miracle then RESCUE what you can

OR try logging into PICASA i think it is with the google account and maybe there is a backup of photos there???

It sounds like it doesn't power up, but as mentioned previously, it's possible it's just the screen.

If that's the case, it might still have connection to download.

If they were my important pics, I'd be trying it.... nothing to lose, as the software is free.

Looks like the warning here is to try to load anything you want to keep onto the SD card every time you use the devise and hope if the devise fails like this, it hasnt corrupted the SD card.
Also it looks like doing a 'Backup' regularly to another storage is worth considering.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
