    Default Panasonic p50x10a 8 red flashes

    Wondering if anyone has a repair/ remedy for the above
    plasma 8 red flashes

    8 blink could be bad SS board. Disconnect the cable at SS board SS23, turn on and see if it stays on. if so then can be ss, bad panel ribbons or bad panel

    disconnecting power at ss board now gives me 6 red flashes

    If SS23 is removed, TV should simply turn on, no blinks.

    SS11 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks
    SS3 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks
    SS23 Unplugged OK
    SS11 Unplugged SS3 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks
    SS11 Unplugged SS23 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks
    SS3 Unplugged SS23 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks
    SS11 Unplugged SS3 Unplugged SS23 Unplugged SOS 6 Blinks

    followed the flow chart all is correct, if i unplug ss23 i get faint picture/menu on screen
    showing

    Sounds like it needs an SS board then.

    could be TNPA4774AG ?

    I guess a new thread would be in order when you can, but is this a 50U30A you're working on? Symptoms?

    have you checked the Sc board for short cct on SC2? Can cause TV to be non responsive or front LED to be out or locked solid.
