after listening to the diatribe of bull shut and a little crystal ball gazing I have come to the conclusion that the world will never ever return to what we thought was normal
firstly there is no incentive to use common sense in any of the govts policys in any state There has to be a natural immunity spread throughout the citizenship with the allowance of evolutionist regardless of state or premier the world is just had a population adjustment but its not over yet so get used to it ? WE weren't going to get a second wave by some on this site WRONG we will still be getting "waves" on different scales if you open you tiny little minds and envisage the possibility of continuous out breaks of the virus then you will be thinking along the right path in my tiny brain , so there is Not going to be a recovery, you can forget such a possibility the world dont turn backwards . So looking forward there aint no farken rose garden facing us and no roses just a big bunch of pricks instead trying to crawl back into the past WE HAVE BECOME GREEDY AND SELF CENTERED which has muddied our collective judgement . Certainly I dont want to promote a devastating death toll but thats what is coming our way NZ thought it had expelled the covid 19 from its shores one slipup and the whole lot of effort goes down the drain and then theres a shit fight They can Isolate as much as they like but human nature will let it escape and it has learn to go faster throughout the communities than the last time and mutated into something different , We have seen evidence all the time but we dont recognise the subtle changes the medical profession is too busy at the bottom of the cliff to realise this there is no one standing at the top saying dont jump yet , I wonder If anyone has noticed the religious sector has fallen very quite but when theres a break through god did it EH bullshat this virus is still in its infancy so hold on to your hat we are still in for a wild ride thats coming shortly !!!!!

From 11:59pm on Wednesday 5 August, employers that require their staff to attend a work site must issue a worker permit to their employees – this is the employer’s responsibility.

Melbournians that require a work permit -- check here --

(It has been a little confusing for IT workers, here is what I could find on vic.gov sites - IT service techs are ALLOWED to stay open with a permit.)

"Any ancillary business (including IT) involved in the production, supply, manufacture, repair, maintenance, cleaning, security, wholesale, distribution, transportation or sale of equipment, goods or services necessary for the operations of a permitted work site or for closed work sites where there are safety or environmental obligations"

Even nutters calling themselves "sovereign citizens' whom are exempt from wearing facemasks.

Where this comes from I don't know.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with it ~ remember back in the 80's with the HIV/AIDS pandemic, when the cops had no problem shooting someone dead if they came at them with a syringe of infected blood?

They just don't want to come to grips with the fact that these people, are behaving like a bunch of infected syringes...self propelled, and capable of using long distance transport...they are a threat, very real.

Time for some 10CC ...'load up, load up, load up, the rubber bullets' ..

I vote for WW2 style German POW camp, trip wire, high fence, guard towers shoot to kill, and crappy huts. Grab them on the spot and directly straight in for a few months. Police can advise next of kin later. No phones, TV, post only, No staff, just drop the food at they gate and they fend for them selves. Press and free population excluded for 2 KM minimum.

Its ok to destroy the economy and lock up the general population, why not lock down these clowns and those not following some very basic health laws. 150 fines in Vic yesterday.

If a computer mailed photo is good enough for a fine, it good enough for these pricks.

Save hell of a lot of money as well.

Please gimme a Gun, I'll fix this problem in 2 days.. GUN Amnesty 1996 is when I handed mine in. Maybe I need to setup the 3D Printer..
These are the ones that got caught... many more get away.

Victoria Police have issued 155 fines for suspected breaches of the Chief Health Officer's directives in the last 24 hours.

    • 36 to people who were not wearing a face covering
    • Five people fined at vehicle checkpoints

People who were fined include a man on board the 9:46pm train heading to Flinders St Station with no exemption.

Three people who had been drinking together between 5:30pm and 8:50pm in Docklands.

A man who walked to a petrol station at 4:00am to buy food in Maribyrnong.

A woman who travelled to a shopping centre more than 5 kilometers away to purchase makeup.

Geelong police also arrested a man for not wearing a face mask.

Police said the man was behaving erratically in a department store in Malop St about 10:30am yesterday.

Police spoke to the man who was not wearing a mask and after several warnings he was arrested.

Lol... that last one has embedded rage against The Man issues by the sounds of it ..'bail offences'... have at'em, hard as you can... how long before the penny drops, that fines are not an adequate deterrent. How about rounding them up, and keeping them at her majesty's pleasure, as cannon-fodder for the required future covid19 vaccine human testing phase?.. >=^]
    .
It won't be long before normal right-minded ppl start say "That's enough - hold my beer" , on their way out the door to join a traveling vigilantly mob, they themselves oblivious to the fact that they have become the enemy - a group of potential carriers.

I watched World War Z the other night ~ I see where the madness in the US is coming from...hollywood & the undead. This whole covid19 thang has become a dystopian omen, a reason for the displeased to rise up.

If they want to disobey curfew/isolation, why don't we just send 'em all to "the land of the free". they can do what they like, there.

I'll admit, I'm becoming scared again.

Not of the Virus, but rather the ramifications and where this is all heading.
The constant message that this is going to be with us for years and it's the new way of life I find terrifying.
I went to the shopping centre with the Mrs today after a docs appointment and it was a different place to when I was last there in Jan/ Feb. So many shops closed, even in the food court. People with masks everywhere ( Sydney not Melb) and a clear atmosphere of uneasiness.

I went to take a leak and walking down the corridor, this 20 something bloke was coming back out. He was wearing a mask and as we neared, he pressed himself back to the wall like as if I was covered in shit or driving a bus along there. I was really taken aback. I didn't know what was going on for the sec. I looked behind me wondering if a bus was coming up behind me before I realised it was me he was seemingly terrified of. I Know I'm fking ugly but never had anyone do that before, even women!

I came out and asked the mrs if I looked weird or had blood running down my face or something and explained why. She said I saw him walking out along the wall and looking back at you. I mentioned I was getting scared about all this Virus paranoia and she questioned what exactly? I mentioned some things like the counter in every shop or even the juice bar had screens up like a bank and things like they were saying there would be no international travel till the end of the year. She said no, they were talking about 2024 this morning on the TV.
    WTF?

There are a lot of conspiracy theories and the real problem is they seem to be getting much less far fetched every damn day.

Had to take Mrs to the hearing specialist before we went to the centre to get her script as she has had an ear infection. I have got into the Mint with less trouble. First thing sanitise your hands. No, I have big hands, please do again and use 2 squirts. Fk me! Next take a pen from here, fill out this info, return the pen to that jar ( marked "Used to be cleaned") and leave the clipboard there.
All the chairs spaced the 1.5m apart. I moved a chair closer to help the mrs fill in the form and the sarge Major secretary started going nuts. I said I'll move the thing back, don't worry. She went off some more. I said we share the same damn bed, came here in the same car and I finished her Coffee this morning. If we haven't infected one another by now, we aren't going to. More screeching I Ignored while Mrs asked what was she saying?
I said she's not happy I moved the chair closer to you. Wife said loudly not being able to hear herself, You are fking kidding me. Half the waiting room burst into laughter.
I said I know I don't have the Pox simply because I'm alive and If I had it, with my complications, I wouldn't be.

I was saved by the Doc coming out and calling her in. Reception Bitch said I couldn't go in with her. I said to the doc, Yell loudly at her because she can't hear you and you'll have to write notes she can read later. He said don't worry, come on in, I will want to ask you some questions anyway. Got the look and the comments when we came out which I just laughed at.
Geez, I know they have a responsibility but this was an over the top power trip and a half! Went from there to get a hearing test and it was completely Different.
Caution and procedures without the attitude and stupidity. Have to go back there again tomorrow.
Even getting in and out the place is Difficult. Signs all over saying max 3 people in a lift that would take a dozen with comfort. People lined up and waiting to get in.

I really don't want things to be like this from now on. I don't like this new way of life one bit. Saw a good friend while we were coming back. Didn't know whether to kiss her hello as usual or not. Lucky she said give me a hug. We have missed a few occasions we would have seen her at already being part of our second ( and more enjoyable) family.

I came home feeling my anxiety playing up and thought imagine what people with real problems are feeling.
The thought it may be like this for some time if not permanently along with everything else scares the shit out of me.

@George, Mate lets hope you guys up north don't get any worse.. Melbourne is scary - Everyone wears a mask and most wear dark sunglasses. The curfew after 8pm makes the streets look like a ghost town.

There's No silver bullet to fix this, No vaccine in the near future from what I'm hearing... Remember there's No cure for the common cold or the Flu. So there wont be a cure for covid-19 any time soon.

The world is changing and we won't be going back to how things were in 2019 sadly... Humans always move forward.. Never backwards. Interesting times ahead.

I'm starting to think a War is approaching --

Tomorrow is going to be interesting in Melbourne as nearly ALL businesses will shut down for 6 weeks - Only a select few stay open..

I've setup the 3D printer.. I have a heap of marbles so a slingshot might be in the making... LOL .. I'm So sick of these motorbikes roaring up and down the streets at night.. LOL

Interesting situation in VIC and not looking good now or for the long term.

Its the early hours of the morning and i just got into work to do some things for a few hours, as of tonight permits are needed, NOW the streets are dead, before this day roads still had cars out in the early hours, tonight i only saw 2 trucks delivering goods, i seemed to be the only car on the road at this hour.

Last night i filled out the work permits for staff, will be fun answering a phone call from police at all hours as people come and go from work or doing our running around.

The confusing new rules for what and what cannot be open have caused many companies to talk to legal firms to find out where they stand, lucky for us we are clear cut and good to go.

Before the latest round of restrictions, the amount of people looking for work was astounding, i put up a advert looking for staff a week ago, 600 applicants in 24 hours, Chefs, airport workers, Lawyers, engineers, you name it, with and without degrees happy to take anything.

So many not right for the job, out of every 100 applicants, 1 or 2 made it to the short list for a possible interview.

I then realized im looking for staff at the worst possible time (contrary to my original thoughts of there will be a lot to choose from), a person will come in to pay the bills, once things loosen off they will be out the door chasing what they use to do, a cannot imagine a truck driver or chef staring into a machine for 8 hours a day inside 4 concrete walls, focusing on repetitive work in a high speed environment, getting dirty and their brain not wanting to explode and get back out again to the freedom and ease they use to have.

So tomorrow i may pull down the job listing, to add to it im unsure how much work may decrease (or possibly increase and they did increase with the first round of Covid restrictions) due to these new restrictions taking effect, id hate to put someone on and to then have to let them go.

All i need is one supplier to shut shop due to this and it will lead to me shutting shop too if i cannot get stock in the door.

Im fine, i can close indefinitely with my first break in 30 years however those staff i support will not be OK, i worry for them, they are in effect my responsibility to support with work in return for pay, if the Govt takes away their work, Govt hand outs are not enough to live off and wont be there forever for them.

Starting to see business people struggle around us, businesses near us closing permanently, some reducing hours, others days.

Covid getting people off work was easy, getting them back off Govt support and back into work will be hard, im predicting some serious hardship will hit in a few months time when banks start wanting their repayments with interest and the Govt support gets pulled back.

This could be the next depression.

Not looking good as a whole for the state.
