Don't fix what ain't broke lol I will try the new one next week. I'm going to change some dish arrangements on my rooftop and
put a 1.8m KU Norsat LNB on the ICable satellite 134e. it runs powervu. Tested it before and works on old software.

Working fine on my Manhattan 6900 USB HD stb. The older skyboxes we got I think need a special device to update to later firmware.
I changed to Manhattan as firmware updates are done thru wireless so you don't need to download to a USB stick.

So the Older Skybox A1 need to be updated other than USB or via the Pins inside. Forgot the name of it but I have the device to go throu USB on computer with 4 PINS to plug inside the box (TTL to USB) then you have a tool called TCOM

USB to TTl is the way you upgrade the latest firmware on the skybox . after its flashed you go back to using a USB to upgrade

    My old friend
Remember 2 years ago I had two SkyboxA1 corrupted by Storms and I purchased a USB and TTL thingo lead from ebay (still have the Two one is a Spare) and you gave me the Program (TCOM and its still on the Puter)to replace the Firmware and the trouble is its complicated and you were going to write a Tutorial on how to use it but I forget (stroke time and you must have forgotten too) so may I ask you Pleeeeeeese when you have time can you write a simple TuT on how to update the firmware by using the 3 ir 4 pins inside the Box. Yes these corrupted boxed will need this USB to TTL leads to do this and also could help with the newer F/W if needed if you cannot update via a USB
The program I have installed is Tcom V2.5
    Thanks

Yes I still have the two Photos shown the PIN outs. Forget the Red no need for power, you only use the white (RxD) and green ( TxD) and the black for ground. Correct me if not.

I would say the Firmware needs to be updated and if not we all will lose the lot of them.

Even i have lost the signal for 4180v in the last few days. I have tried different receiver still no go..Looks like they might have reduced the signal levels or moved to another satellite.

Fine for me using 1.8m solid in Taiwan. No change to frequency.

    Working ok with updated keys.
@tsmami, looking at the asiasat 7 footprint, I think perth has less herbs than the east coast.

Thanks for your response. I have looked but can't seem to find it. Tried many sites but all have same ones that I already have. None of them work. I must be missing something?
