Where do the protester get their money from? I hope not from centre link.
Also I'm sick of hearing" The maximun jail sentence/fine is ,,,so and so much"
I'd like to hear"The minimum sentence/Fine is " and be fullfilled.

these clowns are nothing more than paid professional protestor / pests in my opinion. They are probably funded by somebody like antifa or Soros as well as Centrelink. Thier hypocritical cause is nothing to do with the climate , in fact they way they go about protesting actually increases pollution via traffic jams. Of the 10 bludgers arrested in Sydney yesterday , most of them were from interstate. I hope they get the book thrown at them in court which includes jail time....

They will get a slap on the wrist if anything at all.......as expected, the socialist left is in everywhere now so this crap will only continue.

If they are on Centrelink payments, then why weren't they looking for a job?

They have a job, it's called "protesting". I'd go so far as to suggest that, if a person is convicted of a crime during any one of these "protests", then, perhaps they should lose all access to centrelink payments for, say, 10 years.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

The court (IF they were charged and convicted) should go to that site and fine them the total +50%.......

I see one of the signs says that we are driving collapse...it's almost beyond belief that they are so dumb and that the just as dumberers give them money.

Of course the rest of the world are not, including China and India...

While protest was warranted in the years of deliberate inaction by the former government, these retarded protesters apparently haven't noticed that the majority of Australians have voted FOR action against climate change and favoured a government to make that happen even if that means a temporary hardship for some.
The actions of these retards might make us rethink our decision.

I'll call crap on that. Temporary NEVER means temporary in any government endeavour. There wont be any "temporary hardship" for the elite greens in the wealthy suburbs, or enclaves on say...oh I dunno...the coast maybe?

Just endless power blackouts and rationing for the poor (your so called "some") AND at increased prices as demand outstrips supply, and industry dies....

Still...we'll have to go through it....

Sigh! Temporary hardship for some....hahahaha....you sound like a ruler who imposes a temporary tax, or temporary suspension of civil liberties....FFS

the massive fines etc the pollis talk about have as many teeth
    as a gummy bear.

    The deter-ant should be
strike 1 = minimum fine of xxx not excuses of why when or what
strike 2 = mandatory minimum prison sentence not excuses why when or what

that way the judge and lawyers cant argue their ways around not imposing what is mandatory.

It is a shame you haven't grasped the concept of sustainable energy.

What I have been doing for many years will be eventually available to all > free energy (after the infrastructure is paid for).
Unfortunately it might take 5 years to notice but step by step it is now finally going to happen.
Of course it won't be free for the consumer because those who are investing in it is NOT our government but businesses who want reasonable returns from their investment but almost no running costs still means far lower prices for the end consumer.

The current hardship does not come from renewables(despite what your right wing media is hammering into your head) but our governments allowing the big multinationals(who pay here no tax) to make big profits from our energy exports(to China) and not enforcing provisions for our local needs.
I admit that I am disappointed with Bowen that he has not implemented harsh rules rules here, now that he is given the chance to stick it to the big earners and help those who are REALLY in need.
WA premier does have it in place:

And while everybody in the energy sector slurped up their big profits from the trough, nothing got reinvested for a much needed upgrade of our electricity transmission infrastructure or maintenance of the existing power stations.
Thats what happens when tax payer funded assets are sold to the private sector with middle man earners and spot price speculation.

‘Free’ energy for an individual in a freestanding house is easy. Applying the same concept to the greater population is far harder.

If it was as easy as throwing up some panels (or other renewable energy generating technology) and using batteries to store energy it would have been embraced everywhere. That fact it’s not, despite the technology being available for many decades, is an indication there is a downfall in the concept.

The idea has merit, but when there is no ‘strike’ system for recidivist offenders who commit actual serious crimes, I can’t see one being introduced for idiots who hold up traffic.

Would have been an interesting conversation when she returned the hire care.

It is still not available on large scale, this is about to change but breaks the scope of this thread.
I posted about this on numerous other threads. Keyword FMG specifically FFI. RIO and BHP are on it to. The green steel and metal processing industry will be massive and all the multinational energy companies are restructuring too.
They all know where the money is.

I’m not a denier, but I am a realist. I am happy to agree solar/wind/etc have merits, and are beneficial for the environment. However the deployment on a ‘large scale’ has been imminent for decades, but never implemented, because it had not been, and still is not, viable with technology that is available.

Edit: agree though, beyond the scope of this thread
