Default Did you feel the loss of gravity?

(4 March 1923 – 9 December 2012) was the of British television astronomers, boasting a long career in , a quick-fire manner of speech, and a number of eccentric habits, including the wearing of a .
On 1 April 1976, Moore stated to radio listeners that an astronomical event would take place at 9:47 a.m. that day, a of Jupiter and Pluto, which was expected to have an effect observable everywhere. As Pluto passed behind Jupiter, it would briefly cause a powerful combination of the two planets' forces which would noticeably decrease gravity on Earth. If listeners were to jump into the air at that exact moment, they would find they felt a floating sensation

Soon after 9:47 on that morning, the began to receive hundreds of telephone calls from people reporting they had observed the decrease in gravity. One woman who called in even stated that she and eleven friends had been sitting and had been "wafted from their chairs and orbited gently around the room"

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I don't know what to say about such stupidity......

    Maybe they vote green....
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

I think there may be something in this . As Im finding it harder to get out of bed so the effect is lessening , And the thought of eleven ladies floating around the room sounds enticing . lol

The last time I felt the loss of gravity was when I couldn't hold my beer down. 12 hours later gravitational pull increased by around 50% and that lasted for the rest of the day.

    Somebody got gas !

Actually, it could be any number of things. But it's an indication of a lower density in that region.
Water has a density of 1, so things like Rock and Metals tend to be denser and make up most of the crust.
Something with an unusually high density might be an indication of lots of Uranium or Tungsten minerals etc.

For lower density, it's Water, Oil or Gas but it might also be an indication of high levels of Berylium, Lithium or Aluminum minerals.
It is also possible that mantle plume under the crust in that area is the source or even that the crust itself is very thin. Seismology and sonography of the region will give good indications of the cause.
