    Default STRONG SATELLITE Receiver?

Hi just wondering if there had to be a mod made on a STRONG SATELLITE Receiver - 4658X used with a gamma?
I've read that there had to be a mod with the Humax 5400Z Card reader to drop the voltage, to prevent overheating.
Just wondering if something simmilar had to be done to the Strong box.
    Much Appreciated

I dont have a sellers , so I really dont know the answer, but testing my 43y/o memory, I recall the public gamma was running 'hotter' than the sellers in the Strongs. So I would think that, if your decoder (4658X) ran a normal gamma fine a sellers would be no problem. Does this ring a bell with anyone?? I recall people testing the voltage on the normal gamma's and found it would drag a lot more than the sellers.

Also I recall a member advising of a massive 'hot' spot with only a certain realease of the Strongs last year. He indicated the model series and said that Strong would exchange. My model is May 2007 and was OK. I think his might be just before that. Cant remember the exact details (as the achives no longer exist)

    Can anyone confirm this??
    Cheers, Saintaholic
