What about the Nissan's and Hyundai's?
If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
My tuner does a lot of diesels too with some good power results.
He Just upgraded to a mainline 4wd dyno the other day due to the amount of 4WD working coming in these days.
I had him tune our Supercharged Honda on flex fuel (98 to E85) and it saw 263Kw on 98 and 316Kw on E85 and thats with 714Nm of torque in a 1200Kg vehicle.
Also a side note on tuning, dont get too hung up on the numbers, it is a tool to make adjustments and get readings for comparisons while adjusting, some dynos read very low and others very high.
As an example if we put the Honda on a hub dyno, add 15 to 18% to the 316Kw made on the rolling dyno, or in other words it would have read 373Kw at the wheels.
Thanks guys

Fined for having a DPF, fined for Deleting it
You just can't win with Toyota this time around
"Oh what a feeling"
Hopefully they get the fines from the EPA, will all help the Class Action that is in progress
Toyota have put out a statement the problem has been fixed.
EPA vs Toyota vs Owners

I read a technical article re DPF's They said that there was a small amount of Titanium in the DPF that absorbed/aided pollution discharge reduction. The only problem as time goes on the titanium reduces in quantity and ceases to be effective
The person writing the article went on to say that the DPF becomes non effective over time. If as stated this is true then there are going to be a lot of polluting vehicles driving around!!!

There is a bit of movement on the class action against Toyota by Bannister Law- Toyota have till late October to come back to the courts with an update.

This will be an interesting battle
I'm sure a giant like Toyota with never ending funds will just drag this out till all complainants run out of money and interest.
Although, if the EPA get onboard, that would be different

Have just recently returned from Arnhem Land, 750 Kms in and 750Kms out, (don't bother wasting your time as you cannot get permits) Coober Pedy to Maree all on dust. Ranger interior was virtually dust free, new Hilux interior covered in dust
Possibly another plus for Ford?

ok time for an update - after numerous issues with my 2016 Prado , Toyota have offered me a new replacement car , like for like. The DPF started blowing smoke again despite being replaced in April this year and its just out of warranty. They supposedly are fixing more DPFs outside warranty under goodwill but who knows how much longer that goodwill extends into the future.
i had timing chains replaced last year and now they are starting to rattle again. I had had enough by this stage so i contacted head office and discussed the issues before letting them decide on the best outcome for me car.
'anyway my faith in Toyota has been restored , and i only wish that other car makers will do the same !!!

@ OB , I'll be getting a like for like swap , including the accessories i had fitted . The new model has Toyota Safety Sense fitted so i'm looking forward to that. I was offered the choice of a refund or replacement , i went with the replacement as all i would do is go out and buy another Prado anyway. and they have gone up in price recently so no out of pocket except for some small accessories which i couldnt find reciepts for. I'll probably just take them off.
@Leroy , I fully agree with you , Car makers have had it too easy too long in this country , and although the lemon law has been around for many years , no court or tribunal in the land has ever ever enforced them. Reading in the news there was a Range Rover owner who went to court to try and uphold the lemon law , the whole process cost him $400k and he won , so the factory had to cough up over $600k in compensation.
