Default Opinions on new solar install

    Hi all,
Looking at installing solar on my house, only a 1.5kW system. Being new to solar I'd like any opinions on what I've been quoted.
    Cleaner Enegy in SA.
    8x 190w Solarfun Mono-crystalline panels.
    1500w Aerosharp Inverter, HR-INV-X01-015.
Fully installed, etc. $6295.00 after all of the rebates (out of my pocket).

    Any thoughts/opinions are appreciated.

Thats $6295 out of your pocket or total price excluding recs??
Well seeing you edited your post by adding" after all of the rebates (out of my pocket)." instead of replying, I will edit mine in reply to your's.
You are being taken for a ride. Google "solar choice" and they will give you quotes from many different companies. You will find your Cleaner Energy is $3000 to $4000 overprice (if you are paying outright). It will be dearer if you are paying your system off, which is what I suspect your doing.
In future just a reply would be easier so other people reading the thread can follow it.
    Hope this helps.

No your right there Joey. I know when I was looking at getting it, I found your posts very helpful. There are alot of rip offs. People opposite my place paid $9000 for a 1kw system. I nearly fell over when they told me.

Appreciate your thoughts, being new to the solar game I didn't want to jump in based on a salesman's opinion. It's hard to tell what's good stuff or just plain crap or if it's overpriced.
I've gone to the solar choice website like you suggested and will look into it further.
    Thanks.

Solar Choice will email you a price list from various suppliers, and when you think your ready to buy, give the company a call and they will normally better the price that Solar Choice will give you.
