Default "Difficult to get" small LIPO battery supplier ?

    Hello,

The 3.7V, 250mAh LIPO battery in my GPS watch is loosing capacity. I was wondering if anyone knows of a supplier that will deal with end users ? Nb/ I've tried the usual avenues of ebay and google. No avail. Any tips, suggestions will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    J

    The package code is: LP552425

I spent a night googling. I could only find one supplier (in China) that was willing to deal with me. They could not sell me exact model, but offered a substitute with a minimum order quantity. The order would have been pricey, but still worth it to fix my appliance. However, as soon as I asked for data sheets (so that I could compare my original against their offered substitute) and date of manufacture of batch, they went quiet.

    Any help appreciated . It's for a GPS watch, so dimensions can't exceed 25 x 24 x 5.5mm.

    Cheers J

Will that work ?. Those old phones used Li-ion chemistry, not LIPO. I thought that Li-ion and LIPO have slightly different charging regimes ?

Good suggestion of looking for a substitute enclosed in an existing product. Given Lithium battery transport restrictions (dangerous goods), it may be the only solution

I got a replacement battery for a Logitech mouse from china via eBay 3.7 volt 230ma lithium polymer about that size delivered no problems for around $25

    Try "Ebay Store: Cameron-Sino"

You can try "Battery World". If they don't have in stock or order one they can build a battery pack for you. Click on the service tab and click on "Specialised Battery Builds".

Nb/ I got a response from Battery World today. They don't manufacture these types of batteries.
